We created a local-first transaction workflow with durable storage and controlled cloud synchronization.

Sales continue during connectivity interruptions, with transactions safely synchronized when the connection returns.
Under the hood
A desktop till for a multi-campus cafeteria. Every sale is appended to a local log and never overwritten, so a sale cannot be lost or counted twice; an ingest worker applies the log to the cloud back office once the connection is back. The results above come from testing, backed by 350+ automated tests.
